E-Mail: Departamento de Formación

Confebask is aware of how important human resources are in making firms competitive, and how they need to adapt to keep pace with ongoing changes. It therefore places great emphasis on training: its Training Department has been responsible for setting up pioneering schemes in the Basque Country, which can be classed under four main headings:

Vocational training. Taking as its starting point the idea that training needs to be adapted to the actual requirements of society and the production system, and in an attempt to ensure access to and stability of employment, Confebask is working with various educational organisations and with the Basque Government to draw up a Shared Vocational Training Programme. This programme has already enabled many young people in the Basque Country to obtain practical training at companies. The confederation has also helped to integrate all the training systems now in use in the BAC, and to increase and optimise the resources allocated to them through the Basque Vocational Training Plan.

University Training. Confebask is taking part in the University/Business Shared Training Programme, which is similar to the programme for vocational training. The confederation also actively participates in relations between the university and business through specific schemes such as the University/Business Forum and the EU's Leonardo programme.

Ongoing Training. Confebask's Training Department provides support and assessment for Basque businesses in setting up their own training plans. In this area, it has drawn up ongoing training tools based on new multimedia technologies and an integrated remote training program. It has also helped the Basque Government and trade unions to set up Hobetuz (Basque Ongoing Training Foundation), through which most of the vocational training programmes now running in the BAC are organised.

Managment Training: Confebask has sponsored the setting up of various seminars for management staff in which matters of major importance to business are dealt with.
