To work towards its goals, Confebask has set up a management structure comprising a series of governing bodies, a broad network of working and technical committees and a team of qualified professionals organised into departments, who handle the day to day running of the confederation.

GOVERNING BODIES

GENERAL COUNCIL.- This is the highest body of Confebask. It is made up of leading businessmen and members of the liberal professions, and meets in ordinary session once a year.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.- This is Confebask's highest management body. It establishes and supervises policies, strategies and specific actions of the confederation.

DELEGATED EXECUTIVE SUB-COMMITTEE.- This is a decision-making body comprising the chairman, deputy chairmen and general secretary of the confederation. Its job is to handle urgent business which must be dealt with immediately.

GENERAL SECRETARIAT.- This body represents the executive line of the confederation. It applies the instructions handed down by the governing bodies through the various technical departments in its charge.

ADVISORY BODIES

COMMITTEE OF CHAIRMEN AND GENERAL SECRETARIES.- This is a consultative and advisory body made up of the chairman of Confebask, the general secretary and the chairmen and general secretaries of the member organisations. Its job is basically to determine the philosophy and strategic lines of the confederation and the mechanisms for integrating them.

WORKING COMMITTEES.- These are analytical, consultative and advisory bodies set up by the Executive Committee of Confebask to help carry out its tasks and to resolve general or specific problems which arise. At present the following committees are running:

TECHNICAL COMMITTEES.- These are bodies which support, co-ordinate and provide technical advice for the departments and governing bodies of Confebask on matters of business interest.
