This department designs and develops the organisation's communication and information policy, aiming to inform society of the interests and needs of the business community and continuously to enhance the standing and image of that community in society.

Internal communications: This section publishes and distributes the daily and yearly press dossier, provides advice on media matters for members of the confederation, manages its library of newspapers, books and other documents and handles relations and co-ordination with the press offices of member organisations and that of the CEOE.

External communications : This section is responsible for relations with the media. It handles requests made to the confederation by the media, draws up press releases and commentary articles, sets up interviews, press conferences and working lunches with the media and ensures that smooth, ongoing contact is maintained with the media organisations and professionals working in the Basque Country. It also handles major public events staged by the confederation and publicity for events in which it takes part and manages relations with the press offices of public institutions with which Confebask maintains contacts for purposes of information and co-operation.
